Late?

Not so much as anyone would notice but they will be placed in order, starting back in December....  Only 7 months ago.  We could give lots of excuses but they're just that.....

Up first:  Winter 2009/2010

We had the privledge of experiencing one of the worst winters in Germany in the last 30 years.  The local authorities decided that the plows should stop when the salt ran out - about 4 weeks before the snow decided to stop or leave....  Made for a seemingly long winter.

Then in December we visitied Josh's folks in Wisconsin and got together with lots of friends and family for Thomas' 2nd birthday party.  We had a really good crowd (much bigger than we originally expected so close to Christmas) and, as usual, family threw in to get everything handled and ready (I'd list you out but it'd mostly be a listing of the family members who were there!).  Being away for a while, you tend to forget how much family means and how they step up to get things done....

Thomas enjoyed all the attention and great gifts! Although it's probably fair to say that he enjoyed playing with the balloon arch when it was taken down most of all!



We had quite a bit of good cousin time with Sally's boys Sam and Ryan in December and that would come in handy as we got together with them again in May (see a later post)!!  Thomas and Sam got to help Grandma with cookies (not sure how much help was involved in this) and visit the cows and barn.



Then in February we visited the Gondwana Prehistorium in Neunkirchen (not too far away) with Josh's co-worker Ken. Lots of dinosaur replicas and not one wimper from Thomas!  Then we went out for lunch and Thomas got his folks to dance with him to a bit of German Polka played on a squeeze-box!
